While we were watching rootbeers pop out of the ground, we did actually manage to find a few things. Some smooth base squats; 3 different variants of Rinninsland Crown Bottling Co. squats, and Crown Selters (sic) Water.
Below; A nice big onion skin marble, a yellow ware salve pot, couple'a Winslow's, and a pontiled Katharion for the Hair.
Also a broken face pipe, 2 tavern pipes, and a broken school slate with the name; "August Block" scratched into it.
Also, this iron pontil J.M.P. medicine. It says, "Return this bottle at 10 cents". When I was a kid in the 1970's, I got 10 cents for the pop bottles I returned. This guy was offering the same amount over 100 years earlier. Did he build the deposit into the price of his product ? Probably, but it still seems like allot of money for the time.
We also got some other stuff that I didn't get pictures of ; A Niehouse black glass ale and a few nicer iron pontil squats.
Suddenly the weather has taken a turn back to "the norm" and it is freezing the ground and threatening snow. We have three nice old permissions waiting for us. I have two more presentations scheduled !!! Should wrangle some permissions up from them also. See you at the Columbus bottle show next weekend !
